Those runway fashions are now being transformed into ready wear and we are so into it! There are some staples for Fall that never fail...boots, big sweaters, well crafted scarves, luxurious fabrics and classic trench coats...but every season, the designers put new spins on garments, creating totally new looks. Let's look at how things have evolved since we glimpsed at Fall fashion in late summer.
Tie it up. It seems as though collections from Alexander McQueen and Iris Van Herpen are taking things to the limit with ties, bows and knots.
Not so far off are the Victorian-esque fashion's we're seeing being touted by fashionistas, brought to you by the inspired Christian Dior collection for this season. The photos below are snippets of Valentino, Alexander McQueen and Pucci. Note the high necks, delicate lace, complex brocades and layered velvet.
Feelin' Blue: Cobalt Blue is the hot (er, cool) color this season. Delicious.
Lace, lace, lace. Makes ensembles shimmer with sexy.
Plaid is ALWAYS in season for Fall...it's just how you wear it. This year, don't be afraid to mix and match patterns, bold colors and eclectic shoes.
So, how is this all being played out in street fashion? Well, for one, it's that cold yet....so people are still wearing shorts. Little black shorts, that is. Little black boots, lace, white shirt (another big hit for fall) stars (that dress is straight from Dolce and Gabbana's collection for this season).
